Terms

The agreement

Short, because terms nobody reads protect nobody. These are the clauses that actually govern this product.

Effective 4 September 2026.

What Roster is

Roster Solo (“Roster”) is a CRM in which software agents read your mail, draft replies, follow up on conversations and keep your pipeline current. It is operated by an individual developer, and these terms cover the hosted service at rostersolo.com.

Your account

What the agents may do

Every agent starts at Level 0, where the only things it writes without asking are internal records — notes, remembered facts, company research, and marking a conversation as needing nothing — each of which is listed for you and can be undone for seven days. Nothing leaves your workspace without your approval at Level 0 or Level 1. An agent moves up only when you promote it, and the published bar for doing so is evidence you create by reviewing its work: Level 2 — reached after fifty of your own reviewed approvals with no more than 2% corrected, and at least seven days at Level 1 — is the first level at which an agent may send a routine one-to-one reply without stopping for you. If you choose to promote an agent before it meets that bar, that is your decision and is recorded as one.

At every level, including the highest, the first email to anyone at a company you have not been in touch with before and anything addressed to more than one person return to you for approval, and a link that is not in your approved library is refused rather than sent. Four things are never delegable at any level: quoting a price, offering a discount, agreeing terms, and committing to a meeting time.

You are the sender. Mail your agents send goes out from your mailbox, under your name, to your customers. You are responsible for it in the same way you are responsible for a message an assistant sends on your behalf — which is why the ladder above exists, and why you cannot skip it by asking us to.

Your responsibilities

Outbound mail your agents write carries an AI disclosure. You should not remove it, and Roster does not offer a way to.

Who owns what

Your data is yours — contacts, pipeline, mail, quotes, agent charters and the audit log. We claim no ownership of it and do not use it to train models. You can export all of it at any time from Settings, and leaving does not require our cooperation.

Roster’s software and the service itself remain ours. These terms give you the right to use the hosted service; they do not license its code.

Money

Availability, plainly

Roster is run by one person. There is no uptime guarantee, no support SLA, and no 24-hour on-call rotation, and it would be dishonest to write one into this document. What there is: the service is monitored, outages are worked on immediately, and you can always export your data and leave if that is not enough for you.

The service is provided as-is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending it

You can delete your workspace at any time from Settings, which removes your data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend an account that is being used to break the law or to send abusive mail, and will tell you why. If Roster is ever shut down, you will get notice and time to export, not a redirect to a sorry page.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the effective date above changes and we will email you before it takes effect.
